FAQ

BlockScribe is the fastest way to send a message to the blockchain

For Bitcoin transactions, you can use upto 40 letters in your message. Some people have used the blockchain to make marriage proposals , record bets or predictions, or to simply leave your mark on an permanent ledger. Since the message wil be publicly accessible, avoid listing any information that should be private.

Some sample transactions include I love you sweetie - Sam and   S&P500 to 10000 by 2023 - Sam S

The best way to identify yourself is to include your name or initials in the message. Since the message wil be publicly accessible, avoid listing any information that should be private.

Your transaction message is posted to the live blockchain and you will recieve an email certificate.

A portion of your transaction through BlockScribe will go to offsetting the carbon emissions. The transactions created here are smaller than your average transactions and have a smaller carbon impact. The impact of a single transaction is marginal.

Since transactions on the blockchains are irreversable and we incur fees as soon as the transaction occurs (payment processing fees, blockchain network fees, carbon offset fees), we are unable to provide refunds.

It's a good amount of technical work to create a wallet, fund it, create a unique blockchain transaction, and then broadcast the transaction. You can save that effort by using BlockScribe.

The underlying costs of creating a transaction on the blockchain constantly fluctuates. We add a buffer to cover the costs of running this service and payment fees.
